In the year 3025, NASA was elated when they finally created aircrafts that could carry astronauts farther into space in a shorter amount of time. We could finally reach other galaxies within the span of five years or less. When they sent their first volunteers into space, the entire world was astonished when they learned that we are not the only planet within the universe to sustain life. Two years after this discovery, portals began to open up all over the world. These portals lead to another dimension or planet and were used as a bridge for extraterrestrial creatures to enter Earth. Terrified that these invaders may cause disaster to our planet, the government formed a man-made island the size of Russia in the middle of the Atlantic ocean. They forced the portals to only open up along the inside perimeter of the island. Enormous walls were also built around the stand-alone nation in an attempt to keep the creatures within. Inside the city, they could thrive and live out their life as if they were normal citizens. They could also choose to leave our planet whenever they pleased via the main portal entrances along the north and south corners of the island. However, they are forbidden to live outside of their city and among the humans. There are those who wish to live a peaceful existence within the place, however, no country can exist without turmoil. Species will clash against each other due to differences. Hopefully they can keep from slaughtering each other.
*NOTE: I expect everyone to follow the rules on this site as well as my own. They are as follows;
Rules:
1. No Mary Sues whatsoever.
2. No OOC drama, though it is allowed, and encouraged, within the roleplay.
3. Violence, cursing, and drugs sexual situations are all allowed.
4. Any and all kinds of characters are allowed. Be creative when thinking of what species your character should be.
5. I'm not a grammar Nazi, but the fewer mistakes, the better.
6. I want everyone to feel included within the roleplay. Do not leave anyone's character out of the situation.
7. Absolutely no godmodding or powerplaying. It pisses everyone off.
8. No one-liners! Atleast five sentences!
9. Just have fun!
This roleplay is open for all who wish to join. There is not limit to spots within the thread. You can also have as many characters as you want, so long as you can keep up with all of them. If anyone has any ideas that you like to add, such as the main plot, please feel free to post on here!

Character Skeleton: Name: Serafena Blackwell Age: 19 Gender: Female Species (Be creative if you want!): Black-horned Nymph Personality: She is very calm and collected for the most part. Having been royalty on her birth planet, she was raised to be a proper princess. Be seen and not heard. Therefore, she is very soft spoken and often times has trouble speaking to others. This isn't necessarily because she is shy, but rather that she believes she will be scolded for speaking out of turn. Once she opens up to someone though, Sera is rather bright and bubbly. She also possesses a wonderful sense of humor that draws others in. Orientation: Bisexual Small Bio: As stated above, Sera was a princess on her birth planet. The youngest of three children born to a king and queen of the Nymph race. Being the only female, she was not the favorite among her father and remained in the shadow of her elder brothers. While she was educated, she had no say in politics for their kingdom even though she is very bright. Thankfully, her mother managed to convince her father that she should be trained in combat. Sera is very dangerous and accurate with both a bow and daggers however, she has trouble with a long sword due to her small stature. She came to Earth when her planet was invaded Horned Goblins. They destroyed everything in their path before breaking into the palace. Her parents were slaughtered but not before sending their children through a portal. While being sucked through the vortex, Sera was separated from her brothers, who were sent hurtling towards a different planet entirely. Yeah, everyone says that space sci-fi rps aren't really their thing. I don't even really like those kinds of rps but this one was fun TTnTT I was looking forward for it
